🚛 SofaLine Shipping & Delivery Policy
Last Updated: May 23, 2026
At SofaLine, we want to ensure your new furniture arrives safely and efficiently. Because premium furniture pieces are large, heavy, and structurally delicate, please read our delivery protocols carefully to understand your responsibilities as the recipient.
1. Standard Doorstep Delivery
-
Scope of Service: Standard shipping fees cover delivery directly to your doorstep, driveway, or the main ground-floor entrance of your building or estate.
-
Calculations & Rates: Delivery charges are calculated dynamically at checkout based on your exact geographical location from our distribution hubs.
-
Timeframes: Estimated delivery windows are provided at the time of purchase. While we make every effort to hit these targets, timeframes remain estimates as transit can be affected by logistical delays or unforeseen traffic factors.
2. Access Constraints & Multi-Story Logistics
-
Higher Floor Surcharges: If your delivery requires hoisting, using apartment lifts, or carrying heavy sofas up multiple flights of stairs to higher levels, additional labor charges will apply. This service must be arranged and paid for in advance.
-
Pre-Purchase Measurement: It is your absolute responsibility to ensure that the dimensions of the ordered furniture can safely clear all gates, doorways, narrow hallways, tight corners, and stairwells leading to your room of choice.
-
Narrow Access Damage Waiver: If you request our delivery team to maneuver furniture through restricted or narrow access points against their professional judgment, SofaLine accepts no liability for damages. Any scratches, dents, or structural damage caused to the furniture, walls, doorframes, or flooring during these tight maneuvers will be at your sole risk and expense.
3. Site Preparation & Receipt of Goods
-
Clearing Paths: Prior to the delivery vehicle arriving, ensure that paths, driveways, passages, and internal walkways are completely clear of obstacles, fragile items, or debris.
-
Floor Protection: Our delivery personnel wear heavy-duty safety footwear. If you have sensitive carpeting, laminate, or tiled floors, please lay down protective drop cloths or cardboard coverings along the entry path.
-
Failed Deliveries: An adult authorized agent must be present at the scheduled delivery window to sign for the goods. If no one is available to receive the furniture, the items will return to our warehouse, and you will be liable for a redelivery charge equal to the initial shipping fee.
-
Assembly Services: Standard delivery does not include furniture assembly or packaging disposal. If your pieces require assembly, please contact our support team prior to dispatch to purchase an optional assembly service add-on.
4. Mandatory Inspection & Damage Reporting
-
Thorough Inspection: Before signing the courier delivery note, you must unwrap and thoroughly inspect your furniture for any tears, structural defects, or handling damages.
-
Note the Slip: If any damage is present, you must write a clear, specific description of the fault directly onto the physical or digital delivery receipt before signing it.
-
24-Hour Reporting Window: Any transit damage or defects must be logged with SofaLine customer support via email within 24 hours of receipt, accompanied by clear photographic evidence of both the item and the signed delivery note. SofaLine cannot honor transit damage claims if the delivery note was signed as "received in good condition" or if the damage is reported after 24 hours.
